The Vark Questionnaire

Hmmm... not bad

This survey seemed to flow pretty smooth; however, trying to find out more about myself was confusing. All that was supplied were numbers, but no real explanation.

Get 'er Done!
College Sophomore
Ranken Technical College, St. Louis MO

The length of this survey is one of its strengths because as it points out in the FAQ's, a longer survey gets boring after a while and I am concentrated more on just getting done and not getting frustrated with repetative questions. This survey also gives good everyday examples of how to use your learning style to your advantage in school.

Short and Sweet!

This questionnaire is great because it short and to the point. Many of the questionnaires listed ask repetitive questions. Not VARK!The information is great too. This is the first test to tell me i'm multimodal, which explains why I don't ever seem to fit into one category. It also gives you study tips for your particular modalities. Highly Recommend this!!

I enjoyed this site, because the survey was fairly easy, and I think the results were very true in my case. I learned that I am a Kinesthetic Learner. I now know what learning styles work best and are easier for me.

I found out by means of this survey that I have a multimodal learning style. I like things to be thorough. The more direction I have the better. I hate having to try any figure things out. I''d like the survey better if it did''t have such long paragraphs when explain my particular type of learning style. I think key points would make this survey better.

VARK- Very Insightful
Lauryn Bumgarner, College Sophomore

I really enjoyed this survey compared to the others listed below when figuring out which way of learning I learn best. It is a good length, not too long and not too short. The questions are everyday simple scenarios that are easy to answer. I really enjoyed seeing my results and having a little better insight of how I personally can learn better with my results of being multimodal having higher scores in Visual and Kinesthetics.

VARK Questionnaire
Hailey Codling , College Sophomore

I really liked this survey because it showed me how well I learn in different areas. I already knew I was more of a visual person and I like looking at pictures and diagrams more than reading instructions. If I could I would rather take classes in a classroom environment but its hard to do that when you have a young child. I like to have one on one time with my teacher and get as much explanation and help as possible so that I can perform to my best ability. I think this Questionnaire could have had more questions but all together I think it was a good site.

I answered all the questions while choosing multiple answers and the results came back to inform me with what I already know. I feel this is a great web-site for middle schoolers! I will probably be telling my high school teachers about this!

In addition to showing people their learning styles, the Vark Questionnaire also gives advice on how to take advantage of individual learning preferences. It provided lists of tools and strategies tailored to individual learning styles on how to take in information, study, and perform on tests and assignments.

Not what I thought
Liberty, College Freshman
Chemeketa Community College, Salem, Oregon

This was easy to accomplish. I was amazed by my answer though.I wouldn't have labeled myself an aural learner, seeing as I day dream a lot when it comes to lectures. I personally feel i take in more by reading.

I liked this questionnaire because while I was taking it,I began to notice the type of things I do when I try to learn and study. I have gathered together FROM the information on this site, that I use more aural and kinesthetic strategies when learning and studying new information.

I found this helpful

Firstly, The VARK Questionnaire website was well designed and easy to look at. It provided the ability to answer questions with multiple, realistic answers to it's easy to understand questions. If you would approach one of its situations with a combination of its answers you could select each you would apply. It gave good insight into the style of learning you can bring to bear in your studies.

Learning Style Site Review
Mykee Chuning, College Freshman
Chemeketa Community College, Salem, Oregon

This website contained a quiz that deciphered which learning style you mostly side with. It asks relevant questions like how you would like a website to present information, and how you'd like a doctor to explain your heart problem.

After taking the quiz, I found out I side more with Kinesthetic learning. After the test it showed me how I can study to the best of my abilities. I liked this website because the quiz seemed more relevant than some of the other quizzes, and the helpful tips at the end were very helpful!

Easy to Use
Gabriel Grecny, College Freshman
Chemeketa Community College, Salem, Oregon

I quite like how simple and accessible the site is. Everything is quite short and sweet and easy to understand. All the questions on the short quiz were quite practical and I was also impressed that it acknowledged that people have different degrees of learning, and rates each accordingly. I've seen some other sites that try to pigeonhole you into just one area.

It's also quite cool how they have different pages of strategies and tips, and they are also quite short and sweet. Much better than Kingdomality site which I couldn't even get to work properly.

The VARK Guide website consists of explanations of different learning preferences related to visual, aural, read/write, and kinesthetic learning. There is a brief questionnaire that once completed will give you an idea on what your learning preference(s) are and what study strategies might work best for you. They also would like to sell you a customized report of your learning preferences.

The biggest reason that I chose vark-learn.com over the others is the fact that it displays the results of your test in a format that is suited to your learning style. It also explains at the bottom of the results explanation page what it is about how that information is presented that is appealing to you. The suggestions that it gives are practical and I've found that I already use a number of the skills suggested and that by refining those skills will make learning that much easier.

Overall the information presented was relevant, helpful and concise. The VARK questionnaire identified me as someone with a mild preference as a Kinesthetic learner. Looking back how what I've done and how I've learned to do it I think that this is pretty accurate.

This website it great for studying tips and finding your learning style. I liked this questionnaire because it allowed me to answer the questions with multiple answers, which allowed for more accurate results. The VARK website gave me a result that I felt was more accurate than other websites. The results were helpful and informative. The website offered good studying tips for my learning style. This information will be helpful during this term and in future terms.
