ReviewsThe Importance of Making a Schedule
Very good information at this site.
Victoria McKelvy, College Freshman Chemeketa Community College, Salem, Oregon I make lists of things to do and I keep a couple of calendars. I think I need to combine the information from work and home.
Surprising information here.
Matthew Bauman, College Freshman Chemeketa Community College, Salem, Oregon I had thought that a schedule would be too confining. I now know that having a schedule wonld only help me have more free time. This way I follow what I have to do in the specific time frame and then have time to relax at the end.
Managing my time
KellyMcDaniel, College Freshman Apex Online, Online I definately agree on the importance of making a schedule. This article really hit some important issues and made a lot of great points. It is true that we need to realize what we want more is to have our long term goals. I notice that when I do procrastinate and am in la la land I am always thinking about how I want to have a career and a house and a trust fund for my son. What I seem to forget is that if I would stop spacing out and thinking about it, I could do it, if I just remain focused on the big picture. After having my son, I started myself on a excersize schedule and also made a log of my daily activity and eating habits. I have lost 15 pounds. So instead of sitting and thinking about losing size...I decided to do it and let my actions speak louder than my words. Having extra weight on my made me feel trapped, but now I feel more free. I know what you mean about having freedom, because my long term goal gave me that feeling.
scheduling & me
Stephen Hollins, College Freshman Minneapolis Community & Technical College, Minneapolis, Minnesota I lead a busy life,so when it was time to sit down and do my reading assignment ,naturally I chose to make a schedule.I find myself agreeing with the way the article discussed freedom of choice going hand in hand with making a schedule. I also thought scheduling was a loss of freedom. After reading the article I put my daily routine into perspective, then put it on paper. I too noticed that in fact a person would have more time by utilizing all the time in a day by scheduling and minimizing waste of time.
Time Management
Cameron Barajas, College Freshman Austin Community College, Cypress Creek, Texas It is important to follow a time management process, so you don't get lost. As a student, you can be very busy and times can get stressful as many times and you can lose focus on what's important and what is recreational. To follow a time management process all you have to do is take time to get a planner or make one yourself. Schedule the whole twenty-four hours in a day and along with Monday-Sunday and just take the time to fill in your obligations for that week. In the end, you won't regret it, because you'll have taken care of your duties and responsibilities rather than losing time and forgetting the things your supposed to have done.
Schedule's
Crafton Hills College, Yucaipa,Ca I think that having a schedule is a good thing as long as you don't plan your day hour by hour. You need to just make time for yourself. It is good though to put down important dates in your schedule.
