Reading and analysing an academic article

Article Analysis Guide
Chemeketa Community College, Salem. OR

This article was very organized in its content, which is a list of the information a student can gather from a document and/or article. This is great, because it lists the different and key types of info needed to create an overview or summary of what was written.. So all one needs to do is print the analysis sheet and fill in the blanks for a particular article. Very useful and precise!

Reading academic articles
Kate Guillemette, HS Senior
University of Alaska Fairbanks, Fairbanks, AK

When first exposed to academic articles, they can seem daunting. I used the method provided in this article to successfully read and understand a scientific paper. Writing down and printing the questions before hand, helped keep me organized. I was also able to keep this sheet with the article for future use. It helped me break down the paper and make it easy read. As a student who reads a scientific paper every week, I wholeheartedly recommend this article.
