So, I never would of thought about how a "boring" text was so interesting that someone spent their entire professional lives studying it. It kinda blew my mind and I will definitely keep that in mind the next time I am reading a "boring" text!

Interesting points, Having been in a writing class I understand the "Why,How,& What." So applying that shouldn't be too hard. The creating part also make sense, because we are reading text books to gain information that can be beneficial.

Never really thought about doing this before. After reading this article I was able to create a mind road map for the theology textbook I was reading. Many times I would go wrong but I would change my map as I go through the text.

I really liked the information on the page “Six ways to become fascinated by “Boring” text”. I have a very hard time reading and retaining things out of a text book. Questioning the author and trying to predict what he/she is going to explain next, I feel will be a very good way to keep my interest in what I am reading. I am very eager to try some of the advice offered on this page.

This website really helped me get an insight on powering through boring text. I never considered that someone had to be interested enough to make this their profession. I also never would've thought to try and anticipate what's coming as a way to get myself interested. I will definitely be trying these 6 tricks in the future.

This article was short and simple. It really opened my eyes about text books. Ib>I usually have a hard time trying to really focus on what I am reading. I really enjoyed the part where it states "Realize that this topic is so interesting that people have spent their entire professional lives studying it." That has opened a whole new door for me.

Definitely going to use these tips the next time I am reading a textbook.
