Awesome idea!! Highly recommend.

I did not have any motivation for my college works, but after I read "motivation" article, I have found a lot of motivation. I love the analogy about the car and the questions the author ask the reader; "So what motivates you? Why are you in college?". Also "KNOWING is not as important as DOING" is my favorite quote from the article.

Now, I have a lot of confidence and motivation doing my college work and being a successful college student. Thanks a whole bunch.

This site is highly recommended for everyone who's seeking for motivation.

This article hits it on the nose. You've gotta have motivation to get through college. Thinking about what motivates you will help keep you going, even when times are rough. So its always good to reflect on what it is that motivates you.

I thought this was a great thing to show people who need to get motivated. It lets someone see that they should get motivated from within instead of someone else doing it for them.

This article made me think a lot on why I'm in college. Goal setting is a great topic, because that is why I have started college. I'm now truly motivated like never before and I know I have a long road ahead just like that car in the article, but I'm ready for for the ride.

My review about the article is great. The reason why I say that it is because it is true. In life we need motivation to keep us going in life. Also that motivation is the key to being successful and to have the drive to reach our goals. Without motivation it is not going to take you far and we need that to accomplish our dreams.

I like it when it compared a car to motivation. It shows that cars have potential but do not use it. When you have motivation you can be great and not just be potential.

I agree interest is an important motivator for anyone. When I graduated from high school I had no interest in college. Things have changed over the years. I now look at a college education as a tool of knowledge that you can have and no one can take it away.

I'm glad I chose this topic first when I entered college. Of course I wanted to be there, but until I read this motivation article, I know now it takes more then just wanting. It takes brain thinking, motivation inside of you, and setting goals. My favorite quote from here was "Knowing is not as important then doing." / That quote I will never forget because its so true

In order to fulfill ones dream there has to be some sort of motivation behind the desire. You can't just expect something to happen just because you want it, you have to MAKE it happen with your own efforts. Motivation is the backbone to all forms of success. In order to accomplish you have to motivate. Motivation has many different faces whether it be for short term or long term goals, either one you're aiming towards you HAVE to make an effort. Just remind yourself of WHY you have goals and what you WILL achieve. I think this article is completely right. No matter what you do, there will always be some sort of motivation behind it. Motivation is what you DO not just know what you SHOULD do. Its the difference between what you want and what you have.

I really like the analogy of the car just sitting there waiting. The car to me means a decent paying career, not just an average job.

Success Derives from Motivation

It is so true that success is produced when motivation is combined with the desire to learn. In college, this might be the most important aspect of getting through the hard classes and the boring ones.

A key to keeping motivation up to reach a goal is to have someone, a close friend, keep you accountable to the goal. Ask your friend to insist that you tell him/her your progress on your goal.

Truly the key to motivation and success is goal setting. I love how it shows us the outline for good goal setting and how to have motivation, how we must first figure out what we want. So we must know our dreams what we truly want. I also like how it gives Ideas of how we need to have objectives to achieve our goals. But all this needs to be reasonable. So I really liked the set up and ideas that were given in setting goals to help motivate ones self to succeed.

I think this motivation site works the best for me because it's not just a plain list or generic tips. I like that it's broken up into 4 parts and I can adapt it to how I learn and study. I get bored really easily looking/reading the same advice over and over and I think that this web site did a good job in trying to grab your attention and keeping it there.

Great little article about the importance of goal setting. One of the things that motivates people to get things done in life is goals. When a person sets goal, most likely they will be able to achieve it. For example if a teenager does not like working, but if he has the goal to save $3,000 for a car in one year, most likely he will be motivated to do whatever it takes to earn that money. But if the teenager does not have a goal, there is a greater chance that he could struggle, because there is not clear motivation to work.

I love the analogy of a car used in this article. As someone who has a lot of self-motivation, reading this article actually made me really understand how important motivation, or lack of, can be for others.

I really like this site. As I was reading it I really like how it was worded to motivate somebody and what it says is all true. For example, about not finishing your goals that someone has set in life then you will get the goal completed and also gain something else, like get a high paying job with great benefits. Another example is your own children. They also have to set little goals in order for them to learn and become successful in life. They will also gain something out of it. I think the word motivation says it all, even if you have to write it down to remind you everyday of your goals and motivation.

This article was really helpful especially to those who are in college. They need to realize that to be able to do something, they may need motivation and goal setting. That motivation is something that you need to have to be able to get through college and life. I really like the analogy of the car and some of the questions too.

This site talks about how if you become successful it is because you were motivated to accomplish something that was important to you. People need to have some intelligence, knowledge, study skills, and time management, but if you don't have any motivation you will not go very far. This site refers to college students and whether or not they are motivated by school. One needs to ask themselves if they are actually interested in college because you will not be successful if you have no motivation. I think that this article is correct. Without any sort of motivation, you will not be successful. This is very true when it comes to college. Many people start schooling, but not all that start finish due to losing the motivation that they started with. My motivation for going through school is that I want to go into the dental field and I know that trying my hardest in school can give that opportunity to get into the program. What I learned from reading these site is that motivation is truly important.

The purpose of this website is to provide information on how to be successful in college --with a great analogy about a car. The only way a car can function no matter how souped up or how fancy is with a key, you have to have a key and the key to life is motivation. There also has to be a genuine interest in the endeavor, being honest with yourself and setting goals are also important part of motivating oneself.

I really enjoyed the information in this website I think that it rings true in my mind everything I read. I know that I am most successful when I set goals and I have a real interest in what I am doing like the website stated to do. I like the analogy of the car and know that being motivated helps make tasks easier to accomplish. I will use in the future the suggestions of this website to recognize when I am not interested or to become more motivated. This help me realize that I truly am interested in learning and excited to be in college.

I am getting the car!

Simple and to the point article. I really like the how they used the car to describe how motivation works and it's funny, because in my writing class we were just discussing how in order for a car to start, it needs all these things to function together at the same time to get it to run.

I don't write my goals down and I think that's where I go wrong most times. Not seeing what I have accomplished makes me feel like I haven't done anything even though I have. I am going to start and I am determined to get it done and get the car!

Review for Motivation by Paul Treuer
Tyler Hanson, College Freshman

In order for a person to be inspired to do their work, they need to to set goals for themselves. When you work without imagining a positive to get out of the experience it's harder to get motivated about your work. Motivation inspires a person to plan ahead, and strive to achieve the goals they've set in place for themselves. This website provides a short summary of what it means to be motivated. It provides some real life examples of what a student might have a goal for being in school. Some students are motivated to come to their classes just for the new experiences they offer, but when that\'s not enough you must set goals for yourself on what the end result of your hard work might look like.
