Study Environment Analysis

Questionnaire
College Freshman

This questionnaire helped me learn a little bit more about where tochoose to study. It turns out that if I study at my kitchen table, it is the best environment because there are fewer distractions and good lighting.

This analysis was about my actual study areas. This was new to me for this class. I scored a 7,7, and an 8, and the best place for me to study is on, or right by my computer. I have to agree with this analysis. This is just a small part of the websites that are available here, as well as on other links with this site; but this is the one that actually moved me. I also learned, as part of the other exercises this week, that procrastinating consists of boredom, and self-made distractions; and house cleaning was mentioned as a distraction that could be appropriately used as a study break. So, I put this specific study analysis exercise to use and I cleaned off the table right by my computer, put only my school books/materials on that table, and I put any other distractions from my school work away until I clear off all of the school from my new, strictly study table. This influences me to get more school work done; because I have a dedicated spot, in my living area, that has to be cleared of work in order for me to use, or access, any of my home-luxury items (guitars, video games, etc..) without the feeling that I neglecting work that needs to be done by having it sit there and remind me that I need to do it-and it has helped me get things done.

Best places

Looking at the options for places to study and the distractions that happen there, makes me rethink the choices. I need to work on my study space so I can concentrate better and stay more focused. This was a good way to look at where the distractions are coming from and find the best place for studying.

Study Analysis- I know where to study now

My main problem with study concentration is the environment I work in. I could never identify which environment was best suited for studying. This allows me it compare three places at one time to determine which of the three has the most positive points that make it good for studying.
