Mind Maps

Mind Mapping

This was very interesting as it explained through not only words, but through a video from Tony Buzan how Mind Mapping works and how the brain with picture association used with Mind mapping helps the brain to retain information better. The brain likes to associate things key words with another word associating them together. The brain also likes colors so using also colors and symbols is important as well.

This article was interesting to me. I have a hard time grasping the mapping method of study. I don't feel like it will work for me. I do like that this site offers many links so I can look into it further.

I really like this site! One reason is because of the video with Tony Buzan. It's really interesting to hear him talk about how rigidity and structure is not a good way for your brain to process and retain the information you want to learn. Knowing how I learn, I think I could implement this Mind Mapping technique into my studying so that I can make associations and be able to do better on my tests.

Excellent Tool!

The site shows a video of the developer, Tony Buzan, explaining how Mind Maps work by association; with color and curved lines to keep it from being boring and increases your brains interest in learning. I have to agree that this system makes facts easier to learn when using the concept of Mind maps with single words associated to other words. It gives you the visual organization you need and the ability to use the visual to build upon the information to make it into your own words. I will take advantage of this lesson in my writing and reading classes. Excellent memory tool!
