Time Management

Time management in Law
Austin Community College, cypress

You must prepare weekly schedules such as your day to day activity. Also prepare semester long schedules to help you organize your time from school and your outside of life. When studying long term study for 50 minutes and then a 10 minute break.

The truth is after 50 minutes of studying, students tend to doze off. Must always study when you're alert. Let your family know what kind of schedule you're on so you can get what you need to get done and still have time for them. Also when others know what you have to do. It's less distraction.

I found that the Time Management page was very helpful (under law, near the middle of the list, under how to study and write for Law, then click on Academic Success Programs on the left). This resource has information about academic success techniques such as academic planning, test taking skills, and study aids. Time management is an important skill to have, especially for studying. Also, creating weekly long and semester long schedules can help to use time efficiently and to finish tasks without stress. I learned how to create school schedules in junior high and I still rely on them today.

In addition, this resource has a great section on how to get the most out of lectures. People need to know techniques such as the ones on this site. Some students struggle, even with subjects they enjoy, because they don't know how to take notes or they don't know how to study. These are techniques I use myself and I would recommend this site to anyone I tutor.
