Surviving in CS
Sierra College, Rocklin, Ca
Based on my own experience in CS classes, lessons one and six are the most important. The best way to keep up and to truly get comfortable with code is to write it and write it often. Writing your own little programs not only helps you apply the knowledge you learned in class, but it helps you remember using the language. If you do a little research, you can expand your code just a little beyond the class with each program, increasing your own understanding of a particular language. For me, this handout would be the one I would give to all new programming students.
Understanding the Basics

This article I think applies to almost anything you want to learn in life. If you want to improve you have to get the concept of what you are learning down. Use that as a foundation to improve your code building skills. Although I have not started writing code yet, I did it in high school and found that asking a lot of questions or doing research is key in my opinion.
