What a fantastic resource for people such as me -- English teachers looking for quality intructional resources for our students! The information is broken into easy-to-digest sections, with well-written explanations and well-modeled samples. I appreciate the not-quite-perfect example with suggestions for improvement afterward. I would add my own tips sheet to this simply for explanations and samples of techniques such as metaphor, simile, hyperbole, understatement, irony, imagery, ...
review of poetry explications

I feel the example essay given and the explanation of meter would be helpful to students. Also, a short explanation of literary devices used in poetry with explanations (assonance, alliteration, imagery, allegory,etc.) would also be helpful, particularly for freshmen students, since I have found their exposure to poetry to be very limited. Overall, resource is helpful.
